Welcome to Boaz City Schools


Child Find Activities

Special Education in Boaz City
Schools provides services for
students, ages 3 to 21, identified
in at least one of 13 disability
areas: Deaf-Blind, Emotional
Disturbance. Hearing Impaired,
Mentally Retarded, Multiple Disabilities,
Orthopedically Impaired,
Other Health Impaired, Specific
Learning Disabilities,
Speech and Language Impaired, Visually
Impaired, Autism, Traumatic Brain
Injury, and Developmentally Delayed.
Services are provided in accordance
with the federal and state mandates.

If you need additional information about
referring your child for an evaluation
or special education services, you may
contact Connie Rigsby, Special Education
Director, at 256-593-7311. You may also
contact the principal or counselor at
your child's school.


The tuition fee for students
living outside the city limits
for the 2009-2010 school has
been increased to $200/year
