April, 2008

Parents and kids,

Would you like the opportunity to help make BOAZ beautiful and win some prizes too? The City of Boaz Beautification Committee is hosting Annual Clean-up Boaz on Saturday, April 12, 2008. The time is 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.  We will meet at the Farmer’s Market across the street from the Police Department and go out in teams to collect trash. (See the attached flyer below)

Local merchants have donated coupon prizes for the children and there is a grand prize from Factory Connection.   To be eligible for the drawings, you and your child must register at the Farmer’s Market at 9:00 a.m.  EVERY CHILD MUST HAVE AN ADULT WITH THEM! The drawing for the coupons will be at 10:30 at the Farmer’s Market.  The city is giving $100 to the group that has the most represented and $50 to the group that collects the most trash.  The winners will be recognized in the Sand Mountain Reporter.  Adults will be eligible for cash prizes at the 10:30 drawing.  There will also be snacks provided at 10:30 a.m.

If you have any questions, you may contact Renae Mosley at rmosley@boazk12.org or call at 593-3481-ext. 1111.  You can also contact Sheila Sanders at the Boaz City Hall.

HOPE TO SEE YOU SATURDAY!  Let’s represent the Boaz City School System and win the award for the most participating!!!
