Discipline:

Camp Boaz will follow the same code of conduct established by the Boaz City Board of Education for the regular school year.

The Camp Boaz staff is committed to providing a school environment where every student can learn and grow successfully.  Each person, child or adult, must be treat in ways that support his or her efforts to learn.  We support children and their safety through redirection and collaboration.  We believe children should be an integral part of understanding the choices available to them and that they should be empowered to make positive choices about respecting each other and our environment.  Our guidelines will be:

  • Students are responsible for their actions.  We encourage self-control in both speech and action.
  • Students must observe safety rules of the school for their own security, as well as the security of others.
  • Students are expected to follow rules developed within each classroom.
  • In case of misbehavior, staff will redirect students to appropriate behavior and activities or time out to calm down and reflect.
  • Excessive behavioral problems that can not be remedied through the above measures may result in suspension or dismissal from the program.
