Illness and Medication

  • Medication can not be administered at Camp Boaz.  This applies to sunscreen, Neosporin, etc.  Sunscreen must be applied by the child.
     
  • Make sure that all medical information is up to date on your child—this includes allergies and any health restrictions.
     
  • If a child becomes ill or injured while at Camp Boaz, he or she will be isolated and you will be called to pick him or her up.  MAKE SURE THERE ARE NUMBERS WHERE SOMEONE CAN BE REACHED.
     
  • If you have a change of job, telephone number, insurance information, etc., please notify the Camp Boaz Office.
     
  • If the child is on a field trip, the lead teachers will use their judgment to seek medical assistance, if necessary.  You, as the parent or guardian, will be financially responsible for any and all medical fees incurred.
     
Students should remain home for 24 hours until symptoms of illness cease.  Such symptoms include a fever of 101° F, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, etc. Parents are asked to send a written note explaining the reason for the absence
