Illness and Medication
- Medication can not be
administered at Camp Boaz. This applies to
sunscreen, Neosporin, etc. Sunscreen must be
applied by the child.
- Make sure that all medical
information is up to date on your child—this
includes allergies and any health restrictions.
- If a child becomes ill or
injured while at Camp Boaz, he or she will be
isolated and you will be called to pick him or her
up. MAKE SURE THERE ARE NUMBERS WHERE SOMEONE
CAN BE REACHED.
- If you have a change of job,
telephone number, insurance information, etc.,
please notify the Camp Boaz Office.
- If the child is on a field
trip, the lead teachers will use their judgment to
seek medical assistance, if necessary. You, as
the parent or guardian, will be financially
responsible for any and all medical fees incurred.
Students should remain home for 24 hours until symptoms
of illness cease. Such symptoms include a fever of 101°
F, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, etc. Parents are asked to
send a written note explaining the reason for the
absence
