·   Children’s Author and Illustrator Links

·     Children’s Picture Book Database  Offers abstracts of over 4000 children’s picture books (preschool to grade three), suitable for those  who design interdisciplinary curricula for elementary schools and library programs. The user may search over 900 keywords (topics, concepts, and skills) from the following categories: Literature, Language and Communications, Mathematics, Health and Medicine, Natural History and Natural Science, Social Studies, and Visual and Performing Arts
 

·      Libraries & the Internet Toolkit A Toolkit to help librarians manage and communicate about the Internet was first distributed at the ALA Midwinter Meeting in San Antonio. Permission is granted to libraries to reproduce the Toolkit.

·      Scholastic.com

·      PubList uses sources such as R.R. Bowker’s Ulrich’s “International Periodicals Directory” to provide bibliographic data for more than 150,000 domestic and international print and electronic publications including magazines, journals, e-journals, newsletters, and monographs and hyperlinks to some publishers. Quick and easy access to detailed publication information including, titles, formats, publisher addresses, editor contacts, circulation data, and ISSN numbers. Each periodical listing also includes a link to the source records.

·      Librarians' Index to the Internet Maintained by Carole Leita at Berkeley Public Library, this index is a "searchable, annotated subject directory of around 5,000 Internet resources selected and evaluated by librarians for their usefulness to users of public libraries."

·     Library Web Manager's Reference Center The FAQ of the Web4Lib listserv, this site ontains a wealth of information for computer managers including "bombproofing" workstations, effective bookmark management, kiosk modes, launching CD-ROM's from Netscape and more. ·      Booklist  American Library Association's Booklist magazine of reviews is now online and includes Reviews of Books for Adults, Reviews of Books for Youth, Reviews of Audiovisual Media, Reviews of Reference Materials, Booklist Editors' Choice '95, Best Books Lists, and more.

·      Library Spot  This library resource was designed to "bring the best library and reference sites together with insightful editorial in one convenient, user-friendly spot." The site includes a reference desk (links to general reference tools), a reading room (links to journals, magazines, and newspapers), and libraries (links to library catalogs). Special resource guides are provided for parents, students, and teachers.
