  • We have had a large number of absences recently in our schools due primarily to flu and strep throat.  Our custodians are working diligently to disinfect all areas of our buildings.  In the best interest of your child and fellow students, please follow the guidelines below to determine when your child is “too sick” to come to school.

    1. Fever: If you child has a temperature of 100, he/she should remain home until fever free for 24 hours.
    2. Vomiting: Your child should not attend school if he/she has vomited in the last 12 hours.
    3. Diarrhea: Your child should remain home if he/she has had diarrhea in the last 12 hours.
    4. Undiagnosed Rash: Your child should not attend school until the rash has been diagnosed and treated.  It could be measles, chicken pox, or some other contagious disease.
    5. Pink Eye: Pink eye is contagious.  Your child should be treated before returning to school.
    6. Common Sense: There are times when your child looks or feels like he/she is too ill to study and learn in school.  If so, there is no point in sending him/her to school.
    7. Doctor’s Excuse: Please follow the dates written on the doctor’s excuse.  Do not send your child to school before the return date.

    _____________
