On October 13th, eight distinguished graduates of Boaz High School were inducted into the Boaz High School Wall of Fame Class of 2017. These alumni have reached high since they left BHS to make the world and their communities a better place.
Bill Amberson - A local businessman and veteran of World War II, he worked hard in civic organizations and his church to highlight Boaz wherever he went. He was Boaz’s true “Hometown Hero.”
Dee Anne Ashley - An educator and coach who dedicated her entire career to her students, she made Boaz High School recognizable around the country thanks to her tireless efforts and championship-winning cheerleader coaching.
Captain Phillip Bagwell - A former navy pilot who achieved the prestigious “Wings of Gold” award, he has flown over 20,000 hours in commercial airplanes spanning a 33-year career.
Reverend Keith Dodd - A clergyman and former chaplain in the U.S. Army, he has touched the lives of thousands of soldiers, church members, and citizens around the world.
Dr. Misti Wilson May - A breast surgical oncologist practicing in Richmond, Virginia, she was recently selected as one of Richmond’s top doctors and has been published numerous times.
Dr. Paul Mozley - The former Chairman of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Alabama, he created family medicine/obstetrics fellowships that became the model for other programs in the U.S. and around the world.
Huan Hguyen - An engineer with Google, he has expanded their global supply base from 5 to 30 suppliers, expenditures from $30 million to over $600 million, and data centers from 1 to 15 on three continents.
Coach Randy Ross - A former three-sport star at Boaz High, he is currently the Director of Football Operations at Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
