Mrs. Tarvin began teaching in 1988. Prior to coming to Boaz, she taught in Blount County, Shelby County, Marshall County, and Knox County, Tennessee. Lisa has been a kindergarten teacher at Boaz Elementary since 1999.  She is a graduate of Sardis High School, has a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Jacksonville State University, and has a Master's Degree from the University of Alabama.  

Lisa is married to Donnie Tarvin and has two grown children, Ashley and Cory.  In her free time, Mrs. Tarvin loves camping, boating, and traveling with her family.
