Kim Morton is a graduate of Southside High School. She received an Associates degree from Gadsden State and, after working in education, returned to school and graduated from Jacksonville State University with her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. She began working with the Boaz City School System in 2013. She has worked in Special Education as an intervention teacher and is currently teaching fourth grade Reading/Language Arts and Alabama History at BIS. She enjoys teaching her students and watching them grow and learn.  

Kim is married to Kevin Morton. They have two children, Bailey and Natalie. She enjoys cooking, being outdoors, and spending time with her family. Kim and her family are members of Grace Baptist Church in Snead where she also teaches Sunday school.
