Mrs. Marlene Freeman is in her 27th year of teaching.  After graduating from high school at Geraldine High, Marlene Freeman earned her associates degree at Gadsden State Community College. She graduated from Jacksonville State University with her Bachelor's Degree in Education, and earned a Masters Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from the University of South Alabama.   She is married to Geoff Freeman, and they have two daughters and two grandchildren.  Mrs. Freeman teaches computer and intervention classes.
