Mrs. Jamie Cortez is the art teacher at Boaz Intermediate School. She is originally from Crossville, Alabama and attended Crossville High School. She attended Snead State Community College and received her Associate's degree in Elementary Education. While in college, she co-owned an arts and crafts business with her husband and parents. In her spare time, Mrs. Cortez enjoys traveling across the southeastern United States and attending arts and crafts festivals. She and her husband Benito have two children. They love to spend time as a family, whether it may be hiking, playing board games, or going out to dinner.
