Welcome to BIS

    • BIS has over 40 faculty members who serve approximately 350 students in4th and 5th grade

    • BIS has 14 classroom teachers. 7 teach 4th grade and 7 teach 5th grade.

    • BIS students participate in a physical education class each day.

    • BIS students participate in music, library, guidance, computer, and art classes each week.

    • BIS supports students who benefit from speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, English Language Learners, reading intervention, and Special Education resources.

    • BIS faculty is trained in Managing Crisis Safely and Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling (LETRS).

    • BIS has 2 National Board Certified Teachers.

    • BIS has many clubs and activities, such as Honor Choir, BETA, and 4-H.

    • Boaz City Schools' Extended Day and Camp Boaz services are on the BIS campus.

    • Student breakfast is no cost for students. It is served in the lunchroom each morning. 

    • Student lunch is no cost for students. It is served in the lunchroom daily

    • Students may purchase or bring a snack to eat daily. Snack time is at 2:30-2:45.

    • BIS is a tobacco-free property. We ask that you please not use tobacco products on campus, including car line drop off and pick up.

    • Firearms are prohibited on the BIS campus.
