Mrs. Georgia Perkins
Georgia Perkins began working in the Boaz schools as a volunteer with the ELL teacher and later as a substitute teacher for approximately 10 years. As of the beginning of the 2014-15 school year she began working full time as the registrar at Boaz High School. Her office is in the Guidance Office with the school counselors. She is in charge of school records and transcript cards. She also takes care of withdrawals and sending and recieving records to and from other schools. Also, she enters grades and builds transcripts for new students into PowerSchool. Any transcripts that need to be sent to colleges for former students or current high school seniors are sent and a log of those are kept by Mrs. Perkins.
Mrs. Perkins is married to Gregg Perkins, minister for the Iglesia del Sr. Jesucristo (a Hispanic, bilingual church of Christ) in Albertville. As of 2021 they have been married 40 years and have five children, all of whom have passed through the halls of Boaz High School. They lived in Barcelona, Spain for 8 1/2 years as missionaries and are biliingual. She was blessed to be able to stay home while her children were under school age. She helps out at Boaz High School communicating and translating for Hispanic, non-English-speaking students. She also communicates with their parents by phone or if they come into the school and need help.
