It is with great pleasure that I lead the Boaz City School System’s Athletic Department. Boaz High School and Boaz Middle School have a rich tradition of success in all sports, and we believe that will continue throughout this school year.
The Boaz High School Athletic Department strives to make your experience at Pirate sporting events enjoyable and relaxing. Our short-term goals are (1) clean, accessible facilities; (2) 100% AHSAA compliance; (3) exemplary sportsmanship; (4) clear, concise communication; and (5) meaningful overall evaluation of the athletic programs. Our long-term goals are (1) continued facility upgrades; (2) adding additional sports; (3) building lasting relationships with our student-athletes; (4) winning championships; and (5) independent financial sustainability.
Boaz High School has many inductees into the Marshall County Sports Hall of Fame. Their contributions have been well documented on the Hall of Fame Wall inside Pirate Gym.
Some of our most valuable resources at Boaz High School are our coaches. Boaz High offers ten men’s sports (football, cross-country, swim & dive, basketball, indoor track, baseball, golf, tennis, soccer, outdoor track) and eleven women’s sports (volleyball, cheer, cross-country, swim & dive, basketball, indoor track, softball, golf, tennis, soccer, outdoor track).
The success of the athletic programs here at B.H.S and B.M.S. is only as good as the hard work and preparation put in by not only the coaches and players, but our parent booster clubs as well. Please support our concession stands and fund-raisers throughout this school year. Parents, thank you for your sacrifice as you strive to allow your children to have the best high school experience possible.
