The goal of the Boaz City Schools Department of Curriculum and Instruction is to advance the knowledge and the practice of teaching and learning. BCCS addresses the educational needs of a rapidly changing global society by offering a diverse curriculum that includes core curriculum, Advancement Placement courses, dual enrollment opportunities, and a plethora of elective choices.

The BCCS Curriculum and Instruction Department is responsible for following the Alabama State Department of Education's student learning expectations (standards) for what all students should know and be able to do as a result of skilled instruction. BCCS is proud to partner with the Alabama Reading Initiative (ARI), Alabama Math, Science, and Technology Initiative (AMSTI), Alabama Technology in Motion, ACCESS Distance Learning, A+College Ready, Southern Regional Educational Board (SREB), and many more.
