Daphne Mitchell

Ms. Mitchell was raised in the Marshall County area and graduated from Douglas High School in 1987. After high school, she attended Samford University, graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism/Mass Communications. Upon receiving her degree, Ms. Mitchell worked in the area of public relations and marketing for more than twelve years as an event planner, editor, and marketing specialist in various industries before returning to college to persue a degree in education. She recieved a Master's of Science degree in Secodary English Education from Jacksonville State University in 2003, then went on to graduate from The University of Alabama with a degree in Educational Leadership in 2005. Before joining the faculty of BHS, Ms. Mitchell taught locally at Douglas Middle School and Albertville Middle School. In 2013 she moved to Greenville, South Carolina where she taught at Beck Academy for five years. She joined the BHS staff in 2018.
