Welcome! I am a proud Boaz Pirate, and I look forward to a wonderful school year!

I graduated as Valedictorian from J.B. Pennington High School in May of 2010. I went on to get my Bachelor of Secondary English Education Magna Cum Laude from Jacksonville State University in May of 2015. I graduated with my Master of Science in Instructional Technology Summa Cum Laude at Jacksonville State University in August of 2022. My husband, Alex, and I reside in Southside with our son, Beau, who was born in August of 2022. We also have three beagles: Boomer, Tux, and Loki. I love rollercoasters and travelling. I enjoy antique and thrift shopping, and my favorite store is Dirt Cheap. 😊 

I truly love the students, school, and community of Boaz. My ultimate goal as an educator is to help my students, whether it's through writing about how they feel, digging deeper into a piece of literature, debating on real world topics, or simply figuring out what they want to do with their futures. I aspire for my students to grow into avid readers, thinkers, communicators, and future citizens of the world.
