Coach Darnell graduated from Crossville High School in 1997, attend Jacksonville State with his degree in Physical Educaton and Health in 2002, and earned his Master Degree in 2007 from JSU.  Coach Darnell, taught Physical Education at Crossville Schools from 2003-2021, and currently is ACT PREP/Credit Recovery teacher at Boaz High School.  He is also coaching the Defensive Line for the Pirates Football team.  Dusty is married to Holly Darnell and have four children (Dirks, Lynley, Dax, and Drake).
