Nicole Reyes
Nicole Reyes is excited to join the Boaz Pirates family as a physical science, environmental science, and
forensic science teacher. She is a native of Marshall County and graduate of Guntersville High School.
Mrs. Reyes received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Communications from Lipscomb
University. While serving as the Public Information and Community Affairs Coordinator for the Metro
Nashville Davidson County Election Commission, she fell in love with interacting with students and
creating educational programs. Mrs. Reyes returned to her alma mater to earn a Master of Education in
Instructional Leadership and did post-graduate work at The Robert Penn Warren Center for the
Humanities at Vanderbilt University. Mrs. Reyes has ten years of instructional experience as an adjunct
professor and secondary teacher of Environmental Studies, Geography, Government, World History, US
History, Media, World Cultures and Law. In 2010 she was awarded a Dirksen Center for Congressional
Studies Fellowship. After returning home to Alabama, Mrs. Reyes was engaged in environmental
management for eight years acting as a Keep America Beautiful affiliate director and municipal recycling
coordinator.
Nicole is married to her college sweetheart, Michael and they have two sons, Andrew and Joseph. They
are obsessed with the Marvels Universe. The Reyes Family loves traveling (she has visited over 30
countries). Mrs. Reyes also enjoys reading, art, and cooking. She is a member of the Guntersville Church of Christ and the Whole Backstage Theatre.
