Ms. Melanie Collier teaches Special Education at Boaz Intermediate School. She has been in education since 2002. She graduated from the University of North Alabama with a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science/Physiology, then returned for her teaching certificate from Athens State University with a BS in Health and Physical Education. She then earned a Master’s degree and Educational Specialist degree in Special Education from Jacksonville State University. She is currently on track to finish her Instructional Leadership certification this summer. Melanie has two children and one grandson. She also has a granddaughter on the way this spring. Mrs. Collier loves spending time and playing with her grandson, Turner, is a diehard Auburn fan and enjoys sports, DIYing and playing with her dog, Lily. Ms. Collier loves being a part of Boaz City Schools and feels very blessed to be teaching at Boaz Intermediate.
