How Do I Enroll?

Returning Students

Returning students should have received their Snapcode from their current school via email or a printed document. You will use the Snapcode to fill out the returning student online registration form.

If you are a returning student and have trouble locating your Snapcode for registration, please contact your student's school.

New Students

If your child is a new in-district student for the 2026-2027 school year, please follow these steps:

Step 1: Complete the New Student Registration Form.
- 2026-2027 New Student Online Registration Form (English)
- 2026-2027 New Student Online Registration Form (Spanish)
Step 2: Bring the required documents listed below to your child's school.
- Two proofs of residence within Boaz city limits (lease/mortgage, MUB bill, government correspondence - Spectrum/Comcast bills not accepted)
- Legal guardian/custodian documentation
- Birth certificate
- Social Security Card (if available)
- Parent/Guardian ID
- Alabama Immunization Record (if available)
- Withdrawal information from previous school (if available)

Out of District Students

This registration process is for students who are located outside of the Boaz City Schools district, for both students who have attended BCS in the past and new students.

Step 1: Complete the Out of District Enrollment Application by June 5th. This applies to all out of district students, even those who currently attend BCS.
Step 2: BCS will communicate acceptance or denial of enrollment to you no later than June 18th. Students who are accepted into BCS will receive a Snapcode via the email address used on the application.
Step 3: Use the Snapcode to complete the online Returning Student or New Student Registration Form.

All current and potential out of district students are required to complete both the Out of District Enrollment Application and the Returning or New Student Online Registration Form. BCS reserves the right to withdraw students to the district to which they belong after acceptance if the forms aren't completed.

Tuition

Tuition will be charged for students who are considered out of district students who are accepted and wish to enroll in the Boaz City Schools District.

Out of district tuition rates are as follows:

$500 annually for one child
Tuition is capped at $1,000 annually per household.

Tuition is paid through the MySchoolBucks website and can be split into multiple payments

Full tuition payment is due by July 8, 2026.

Pre-K Students

Boaz City Schools is aware that online payment for out-of-district tuition through MySchoolBucks is not currently functioning properly. We are actively working to resolve the issue.

In the meantime, tuition payments may be made by cash or check at the Boaz City Schools Central Office located at:
