Miriam Richey has taught general and choral music for 33 years in the Boaz City School System.  She currently teaches at Corley Elementary and Boaz Intermediate School.  She obtained her Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Montevallo and her Masters in Music Education at Jacksonville State University.  In 2008 and 2021she was selected as Boaz Intermediate Teacher of the Year. In 2021, Mrs. Richey was the Boaz City Schools District Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Richey is the choir director at First Presbyterian Church in Albertville. She and her husband Paul have two children. Her daughter, Sarah Quinn lives in Northport and is a music teacher at Walker Elementary. Their son Curtis is a sophomore at Auburn University, where he is studying mechanical engineering.
