Boaz City Schools Maintains a “B” Score on Federal/State Report Card with Areas of Growth at All Campuses.
Boaz, AL – December 14, 2023 – Today, the Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE) released the report cards for each school system, as well as report cards for individual schools based on the 2022-2023 school year data. The Report Card system uses 6 accountability indicators to calculate a letter grade for each school system, each school, as well as the state department of education. The 6 accountability indicators are as follows: Academic Achievement, Academic Growth, Graduation Rate (schools with a Grade 12 only), College and Career Readiness, Chronic Absenteeism, and Progress in English Language Proficiency. Boaz City Schools maintained an overall grade of B for the 3rd year in a row.
Individual school letter grades for Boaz City Schools are as follows:
Boaz Elementary School = B+
Corley Elementary School = B+
Boaz Intermediate School = B+
Boaz Middle School = B+
Boaz High School = C
